Salted Caramel Saturday

SNOW DAY II.  I underestimated the weather forecast and braved the wind and the snow  yesterday. I wasn't about to complain about this frigid weather nor was I going to waste my day in my apartment. And so I went gallivanting around Manhattan's backyard, my personal playground, Central Park.

Manhattan After Sunset

I'll Take Manhattan

Gantry Plaza State Park became my stage,
Manhattan was my backdrop

Purse-uit of Happiness

Kate Spade continues to amaze me with her whimsical ideas over and over again. In her last  Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection, the brand celebrated it's 20th Anniversary with a much loved theme by all New Yorkers-All things New York! I picked this purse, I just love the idea of turning a newspaper into a clutch bag, novelty and trendy at the same time. I just hope I don't end up throwing it in the trash by mistake..  =)

Taken by the Wind

My Life, My City

This park has always been my favorite New York hidden gem. A heartbeat from Midtown Manhattan, it also offers a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, specifically the Empire State Building and the United Nations Headquarters.

On a Winter's Day

Last Sunday was one of those weird weekends in Winter where it suddenly felt like 60 degrees after a series of sub zero temperatures accompanied by a Polar Vortex phenomenon. As radical as it may sound,  I actually appreciate this unseasonable warmth. I decided to ditch my puffer coat, get out of my cozy cubby hole and go for a walk. I’ve been hibernating for the past couple of weeks, and that’s when I realized, sometimes New York can be simple, uncomplicated in Winter. New York and I typically have warm and sentimental feelings toward each other; however, last week she embraced me with a colossal block of frigid reality and so I was forced to stay mostly indoors…

So much for the saying, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
-The time She (New York) and I have spent apart has been good for us.

She never failed me, my purse for all seasons..
